The “Not Quite Ready For Prime Time Running” (NQRFPTR) is an informal running group based here in Louisville, KY, although we do have “members” scattered around the country. We have some “members” who are serious and most not so much, but all are dedicated to the joy of running and enjoying a healthy (mostly anyway) lifestyle.
Our founder (the one responsible for the name) and unofficial “President” is Terry Hardwick turtle1@windstream.net. The “membership chairman” is Pietro Davitt and he is assisted by Howard Whitman sgtof@aol.com. The webmaster is Harry Cooke hcooke@insightbb.com.
We (usually) do our weekly long run every Saturday morning, usually @ 8:00am, or earlier depending on the temperature, miles running or any other circumstance that happens to come up, and meet in the parking lot behind Qdoba, located at Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. After our run, those that are able to, meet at Heine Brothers Coffee for some social interaction and good coffee.
There is a subgroup of NQRFPTR that is called “The Breakfast Club”, which meets at Seneca Park every Sunday morning at 8:00am for a short “recovery run” and then it is off to breakfast afterwards.
Runners of all abilities are welcome. You can be added to our email distribution list if so desired, just let someone in the group know of your desire, and email address.
Thank you for visiting our website and I hope that you return often.
