We would like to welcome the BlueMile Running store to its newest store location (their 2nd store in Louisville), which recently opened near the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway (in the old Fleet Feet store). Their first Louisville store opened earlier this year in the Summit Shopping Center.
BlueMile hosts a Run/Walk each Monday at their Louisville Highlands location. The run begins at 6 p.m. from the store, and we usually head to Cherokee Park. All levels are welcome, and they often have guest speakers and special treats. They also offer Saturday morning group runs, starting at 8:00am. Stop in and welcome them to their new store location.

Congratulations to “Marathon Jon” O’Neil for completing the Delaware Trail Marathon, in Newark, Delaware on Saturday, April 28, 2012. He had a time of 6:01:54. Jon marked off another state in his quest to join the “50 States” Marathon Club.
A group of 11 “Not Quite Ready” runners made their way to Monterey, California to participate in the 2012 Big Sur International Marathon, on Sunday, April 29. The Big Sur Marathon is universally accepted as the most scenic marathon in North America, and our band of merry runners will testify to that fact as well. Despite its beauty, the course also has its set of obstacles to overcome. Those range from continued long hills, brutal head winds, temperature fluctuations, fog and a lot of camber on the roadway. Still, EVERYONE had a great time and several had pretty impressive finishing times as well. Photos taken during the race can be found in the Photo Gallery.
